Berghaus say that this 200 weight Polartec Classic fleece jacket is styled to fit under jackets with a snow skirt comfortably. That could just mean that it’s cut short and is probably not that suitable for tall people. Just a guess though.

It’s got 2 hand pockets and a zip chest pocket and comes in 4 colours. Expect to see it around £65 in the shops.

This Mountain Hardwear Fleece is a nice little offering just before Christmas (especially in the striking red colour shown above). It’s Polartech Thermal Pro fleece material and is apparently styled with a “street look”. It’s got a small pocket on the sleeve for keeping basics in – just about big enough for a phone or keys. The Mountain Hardwear Half Zip Sweater comes in the colours Chilli, Espresso or Shark – which is red, brown or grey to you and me. Selling price is around £70.
